Don't worry, the manga is terrible anyways after post Greed Island. Chimera Ant arc single handedly killed off what good was left in this manga

Innovator1, there doesn't need to be an excuse. He writes this manga because he wants to, not because he feels obligated to provide you with free entertainment.

xGunner1, the Chimera Ant arc is one of the best manga arcs ever, and I'm sorry that you can't see that.

I wasn't a fan of the ant arc either, but the stories after it were right up to par with pre-ant arc; I was glad I didn't drop the manga after all those chapters. Loved the parts with Killua's sister and the election committee for the new chairman. Those were great.

If the mangaka picks this back up -- I'd like for him to just because, while it seemed like a good ending, there wasn't much on Kurapika except for the side stories -- but if he does, I'd be cool with him ending it with all the characters included in the story.

so gon is like 10 or 12 or something, i think we need a 6-10 year training timeskip before they set out to that new world of that old mans so called son. I want to see gon and killua when they're older. (well gon did go bigger during the chimera ant arc but that doesn't count, despite him being total badass)

Man, i thought Yoshihiro would get off the hiatus once the anime reached the chimera ants. I should have seen that coming. Even the movie only motivated him to draw two chapters.....

dont get me wrong i love this series but this is Weekly Shonen Jump were talking about who drops series all the time.
and considering this series has been published since 1998 it should be about 700 chapters now not 340 so basicly since the start of the series more than half the time has been hiatus.
well i guess it has to be INSANELY popular every time a chapter is actually published...

The writer is ill. Its one of JUMP's best series too.

Getting rid of it would do some serious damage to JUMP because they'd basically be saying, "we don't care if you you made Yuyu Hakusho AND Hunter X Hunter. You're ill and can't write often so bye."

Doing that would be getting rid of nearly a 1/3 or more of their subscribers.
