This week's poll is from sk_shankar11. Any preference in how you'd like a series to end? I bet most will either want a happy ending!

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: How many manga chapters do you read weekly?
Choices:
1-10 - votes: 2279 (28.6%)
11-20 - votes: 1572 (19.7%)
21-50 - votes: 1635 (20.5%)
51-100 - votes: 1074 (13.5%)
101-200 - votes: 577 (7.2%)
201-500 - votes: 378 (4.7%)
501+ - votes: 466 (5.8%)
There were 7981 total votes.
The poll ended: April 15th 2016

How many of you that voted 501+ are lying?... You seriously read that much?...

Any ending as long as best girl wins.

Seriously though, any ending's fine with me as long as it closes off the important plot points, and the only complaint I'll have is when best girl doesn't win.

As long as it's actually well executed, I'll take any ending.
I like to tell myself that the journey is more important than the destination, but a shitty ending can ruin the impression of the entire story.

The final option, obviously. The type of ending should depend on the plot leading up to that; and as long as the execution's good any ending can be excellent.

I prefer ANY ENDING (as long as it's not rushed).

Sometimes Surprising / Plot twist is good too, but most of the time shit hits the fan and ruins everything, the whole story gets.....

P.S. Somebody please tell KUBO Tite sensei to end Bleach already. Can't he see, what this nice manga have reduced to(nothing good came out after Sōsuke Aizen's Defeat, the awesomeness totally died, at least for me). Rush, Axe and anything is fine, just get done with it already and start something new or pick up the good ol' Zombie Powder again(personally I would be really happy, if he does so).

Any ending is the only one for me. An author with a vision should just go for it and not chicken out or pander. The abrupt options seems to be the only bad one among the selected and Parasyte has my favorite ending of any comic to date. More than half of the options apply to it and it´s neither happy nor tragic. Ashita no Joe´s ending is also noteworthy and often replicated. That criteria is the sign of a good conclusion right there.

More mangaka should find the time/pages for a proper epilogue but not enough of them get to plan out the final stretch beforehand due to the flawed anthology magazine structure.
Female publication suffer the most here but they usually aim lower.

501+ used to apply to me for manga alone (not every month of course!) and i should have read more completed comics (or runs) than finished manga but the well will run dry after 2 or so years of laser focused binging and the current ongoings will then need to fuel the fire for the most part. That ain´t a problem with the current comic scene but it sure is with anime.
I once set down and started from the mid 00s (that´s when it got DSL and could just follow along) and dug away backwards until i arrived in the 60s about 2 years later and now am shit out of luck... Check yo self before you wreck yo self.

Well 501+ is possible... I was doing that when I had nothing to do the whole week... those times are long gone...

As for current question. I prefer no ending at all (love ongoings), but it isn't really possible, because mangakas tend to be humans, who don't live forever. So if there is ending, it's better be a Happy ending...

Glad to see I am not the only one to say any ending. The reason I got into manga was because I got sick of the never ending american comics.

Ambiguity FTW.
The more coherently ambiguous a fiction becomes, the less alienating it's depiction of reality feels.

any ending, as long as i'm satisfied and it's not rushed
manga may be fiction but it is in no way obligated to an idyllic ending.

I agree with @mysstris, if the ending is well done it satisfies me althoug some ambiguous/open endings leave me with a lot of desire for a continuation.
