I usually wave and say hello, I only sometimes smile though. I shake hands in more formal occasions or if I've never met the person before.

A friendly salute for me - nothing to serious though.

it depends on what our relationship is or how close we are to each other...and also the distance...

if it is my close girlfriends i will hug them...if theyre far i will run towards them and then hug them...

if it is my guyfriends will go highfiving them...if theyre far away i will shout their name and wave my hand to them and they will come to me themselves...

if its my other friends or acquintances...i will say "yo!", "oi, "hi", "hello" or "good <enter time of the day>"

thats about it and the frequent laughing at their faces for no reason at all.... laugh laugh

with some friends it's just head nod, others shake hands.
kiss on the cheek (it's not really kiss on the cheek, it's more of cheek against cheek and making a low kiss sound in the air) with family's friends and men in the family.
With girlfriends, that's the toughest. One friend's gf, I can do the fake kiss on the cheek, but another friend's gf she was a little shocked/freaked out by it.

If it's family that I don't see everyday, i.e not my immediate family, we kiss each other twice on the cheek. It's a culture thing.

My friends, I just say lots of variations of "Hi" or "Alright?". Some of my friends get special treatment from me. There's one girl that everytime I see her, I shout her nickname I made up for her really loud XD Some get hugs as well.

To the other people who I know, but don't talk to much, it's a nod of recognision.

Handshakes to those who I've met for the first time, and are significantly older than me. I don't tend of offer my hand when they're around my age laugh

When it's friends or their friends, and also when I meet certain kind of people, usually a kiss (more often on the cheek). But at training or igo club and of the sort, and toneighbourhood people, and when I meet people at their jobs (like bartenders or shopkeepers and such), I just say hi or something.

When I'm at my job it's mostly bowing, or for some people that I'm introduced to, handshake is enough.

When I leave I usually wave my hand and say bye.

I usually just wave my hand... Or then just say something. But if it is more formal, I'll shake hands.

I don't really greet people.
I tend to skip the awkward
getting to know part.

I usually just give a smile and a simple little wave. However, I do sometimes say hello, but that hello leads to a whole conversation.

Yeah, I want to know why high-five isn't an option. That's my favorite way to say hello to my friends!

Well aside from that I usually either smile and wave, nod and smile, or just smile if I'm being super lazy. I also always greet family with a kiss on the cheek and I hug my good friends. Wait, why wasn't hug an option either?

Depends on who I'm greeting.

If it's my relatives or mom or dad I kiss them on the cheek or hug them. I usually just say to my mom "Hola Mami" or "Hola Nylon" to my dad (a nickname for my dad).

With my close cousins we greet each other in insults laugh Ah so much family love exchanged there.

With my friends it depends on who it is. Usually I comment something insulting to one of my close friends and they do it back but that's our usual lingo but with others I just say "Hi!"

Wave and smile.
"Hey" is optional, depending on my mood and who. xD

I usually just smile when I'm passing by someone I know (I'm too lazy to wave my hand, especially when they're in my pockets... biggrin ) If they can't see me smiling widely, I'm forced to use my hand to wave.
But most of the time, I just say "Hey," or "Hi/Hello."
For the elderly, it's the hand to the forehead, but I haven't done it in a long time.
For my siblings, I just say "Hoy," or "Yo" (not yo as in row, but yō, as in shōjo).
And for my really really close friends, I don't greet them but say something rude instead, since they know I'm just joking bigrazz (but I only do it sometimes, though)

When I meet someone, I just say "Hello," but if it's a formal meeting, I simply shake hands.

Oh, and sometimes I hug them (well, mainly because they initiate it by holding out their arms or something)
