Hi, i am wondering if i am doing something wrong or if it is just my computer-

sometimes when i am searching for a genre it doesn't come up with anything even though i know there are definitely series that have the genres. I even tried searching for a really obvious one-'romance' and the database didn't come up with anything.

this also happens when i try to search for both genres and categories.
Sometimes it does this and other times it searches fine.
Any ideas for what the problem is?

um, genre>advanced search
and i tried clicking the bottom/top search buttons and still didnt get anything
but then it started working, then after a few minutes stopped working

I believe he is asking what where you searching for... what categories, which genres did you select, and ant other options as well. You need to be very specific in order for him to understand the situation, because the problem could be anyone of the things that you did that... and he won't know what to look at unless you tell him.

i was searching for the genre 'romance' and the category 'bad boy' and i didnt change anything else in the options. nothing came up in the database.

i thought it was weird that it didnt come up with anything so i just tried searching for 'romance'(also not changing any of the other options that were already pre-filled in for me) and it didnt come up with anything. then a few minutes later i refreshed and it came up with a lot of series. a few minutes later it stopped working again.

When it comes up with nothing next time, copy and paste the url and post it here if you can ...

That link gives you nothing because you've entered an underscore in the category box, which isn't a valid category.

In another post you said you were trying to search 'bad boy' and 'romance' so try this link http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=bad%2Bboy&genre=Romance&filter=some_releases&perpage=50 It will give you a list with at least one release.
