I love reading One-Shots. There are some really good ones and really sucky ones out there, so I usually come here to see if it's worth reading or not. But it's hard to search for them specifically on this site since there's no search made for how long a manga is. So I thought it would be a good idea to put One-Shots as a genre or make a whole new search based on the size of a series. I think the first option is a lot easier though!
If you do make One-Shots a Genre I volunteer to personally start labeling all the one-shots I know as so and do some research searching for the ones I don't know so I can label them too. I cross my heart and hope to die/pinky swear it! <3

I actually like this idea as well. There are a lot of times that I look for a longer manga to entertain myself for a couple of hours, but find more oneshots than anything else, and it can occasionally be a pain to sort through them. Not that it isn't worth it, but still.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

Sure, if ennui is willing to go through and tag everything, I'm happy with the idea. It would make it easier to search for them or avoid them, even if the information's already there.

Scroll down on the series page, and click "Show only One Shots" (or if you're lazy, click this: http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?filter=oneshots )

Amazing!

I wonder why I don't notice these things... I'll blame it on my terrible vision, for now.

Can you EXCLUDE oneshots from your search?

Oh my gosh, I'm so stupid 😲 ! SORRY!!!! I never saw that! I just went directly to the search box and never took the time to look down there....

From now on I promise to try and be more observant. 😢

Actually this is completely off-topic but...

I was just looking at those extra search options... Ans I noticed that there wasn't a scanlated option... Only a "show fully scanlated series" option. -.- What if you want to read a series but doesn't necessarily have to be fully scanlated? I remember getting a bit irritated by this a few weeks ago when I was looking for my dailry dose of uh- smut, and didn't really care if the series was fully scanlated or not.

Sorry for posting it here... It's just I don't want to make a full reccomendation topic just for this. >_>

There is a show all manga with the genres you chose...but it does not exclude oneshots

Ooooh I think I get what you mean. Like, a filter that gets only series that have been at least partially scanlated, even if they're not completely scanlated? Because (having done a search in smut far too many times and having ended up frustrated quite often as a result) I often don't care if a series has been fully scanlated, so I'll search "all series", but then series that haven't been scanlated at all will pop up there too, and I can't read those.

If that's what you mean, I totally agree. It'd be an amazing addition, and would save me much frustration, since it really sucks to have a sweries that looks awesome pop up only to find out that you can't read any of it.

I'd like this as well =). And I also support the 'exclude one-shots' button.

Collection of One-Shots
I'm not sure if I should've made a new topic for this. Anyhow.

Examples:
37°C Kiss
Orange Kiss
Caramel Milk Tea

Would there be another way to make titles like this show up on the link given by lambchopsil earlier ( http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?filter=oneshots ), other than having to add the separate short-stories independently as another 'series' in the database?

EDIT

Nevermind. I figured by adding the word 'one-shot' under Status in Country of Origin along with '1 volume (Complete)', it shows up on the filtered search. Yay~
