I'm not up to date with the manga (dropped it since it started becoming harem-ish).

But I think it would be interesting if she ends up with Hunny. O_O Really. There should be more shoujo manga where the protagonist go for the short shota-looking guy.

I love Tamaki and all but I'm just not fond of this pairing. He's too dense for Haruhi but she's dense too lol Um I guess because to me, they're just like very good friends and someone Haruhi can lend support. I didn't think their relationship would develop romantically but of course the main pairing is obvious: TamakiHaru

I personally love Hikaru to end up with Haruhi. He's so adorable and rash when it comes to trying to make Haruhi pay attention to him and not Tamaki. 🤣 Hikaru, idk, he appeals to me better than Tamaki does.

Haha, he always makes me laugh! I wouldn't have minded seeing more of him (in both the anime and the manga), but then there are so many good characters in Ouran that I could say the same thing about as well.

Like most other people, I also pick Tamaki. For one, he's an awesome character in general (his silliness sets him apart from other cookie-cutter shoujo romantic leads). And also, he manages to get a rise out of Haruhi, which is always nice since she's often in cool and mature mode with everybody else; so for that reason, I think the two of them have the most chemistry of any of the possible couples.

Well I kinda like Hikaru but sorry Tamaki is Tamaki =)

Favorite character is Hikaru. Or was it Kaoru. Idk, it's been a long time and I gave up on it after volume ten. Even though I like whichever one, it would be awkward with anyone other than Tamaki to end up with her. [edit]... in my opinion. xP Yeah I think it would just be odd if she ended up with anyone else. Cuz it's pretty much obviously implied (oxy-moron?) that she (disappointingly) likes Tamaki back.

if i had to say , obviously i'd want Tamaki with Haruhi .
but then i also partly want Hikaru with Haruhi or Kaoru with Haruhi .
I even seem to like Kyoya with Haruhi .

I mean, let's look at all of the Host Club members...

I love Kyoya, more so than I love Tamaki, and he would definitely be my second choice for Haruhi. However, they're both too darned introspective and emotionally subdued to be ideal. Like a previous poster said, their lives would be frustratingly boring. I think they both need somebody more outgoing and expressive.

On the same note, Mori also wouldn't work, even though he's my absolute favorite host. 🙂 Besides the fact that he, too, is too introspective and quiet to click with Haruhi, it seems pretty clear to me that he views her in a strictly brotherly way. Which also leads me to...

Honey. No. Just no. Even if he seemed the least bit interested in Haruhi that way, it wouldn't work. He... needs to grow up first. I mean, ew.

As for Hikaru and Kaoru, while I do like them both, I think they also need to grow a lot more before either of them gets serious with a girl. I mean, they've just started to reach out toward the world; Haruhi was the first girl they ever actually considered to be a friend, so naturally they would have feelings for her. I think they need to live for a while first.

So, in my humble opinion, Tamaki is the only logical choice for Haruhi. She brings him down to earth, and he drags her into the clouds. She holds him back when he's too eager, and he pulls her forward when she's too hesitant. They complement each other beautifully.

It just works. 😃
