Could someone help me with this speech bubble?

Erm, I don't know if this is allowed... But could someone translate this ONE speech bubble for me? Pretty please! This is not a recruitment for translators, I'd just really appreciate knowing what is being said in this Japanese speech bubble.

And in bigger size if that makes translating easier. Here's the whole page if that helps put things in context!
If you could also translate the little squiggly text next to the speech bubble, that would be great...
Thank you in advance for your help. bows
MODS: So sorry if this is against the rules, please lock/move this post if it is!
NOTE: The manga this image is from is Kaze Hikaru, volume 15. The character speaking is Okita Souji, captain of the first troop of the Shinsengumi. Um... I think he's talking to/about a girl? About the female lead of the manga, Sei, who is currently disguised as a guy named Kamiya Seizaburo... I don't know if that will help with the translation or if it is even relevant to this speech bubble as I think it is, but if it helps, I'm glad. 🙂 Thank you again.

Erm... I'm no expert at this, but I think it is saying something like:
"Do you really want me to tell you?"
And the small print is saying "like a pig" or something....

No and no.
Bubble: What I taught you... was true.
Side text: I... I might get hit?
I can't really tell from the panel who taught who, so I just assumed. The bubble literally says "What was taught... was true."

Thank you!!!! Yes, it's the character speaking (Okita) who is probably doing the teaching, so it would be "What I taught you" - yeah, that makes sense. And he often is getting hit for saying stuff that pisses Kamiya off, so... Lol. Even the side text makes sense.
Ummmm... Unfortunately that still leaves me in some confusion about the intent of what that character is saying, so if it isn't too much trouble, could you translate the whole page?
Omg I'm imposing on you so much, it's actually embarrassing how much I'm imposing on you, so if you don't have the time to translate the rest please just ignore my silly request. hides
At any rate you are amazing for replying so quickly and for being so helpful with that bubble, I really appreciate it, thank you very much mewarmo990.
And thank you for the effort Binturong, it's good to see that we manga fans are so quick to support each other even for selfish requests like the one I just made. blush

Well, that's about what I would expect from me learning Japanese from watching anime anyway. 🤣

Lol @ Binturong, no I completely sympathize, I'm the same and all the Japanese I've learned is from fansubs lol. >_>; Which I why I want to start learning seriously, but in the mean time I must beg for help from those wiser than I, esp. for odd little tidbits like this. 🙂

I understand. It must have been an important and/or fascinating moment in the story. Staring at the facial expressions can be so frustrating sometimes.

YES IT WAS! A fascinating moment in the story, I mean. @_@ The lead girl (who is currently disguised as a boy) suddenly starts crying after this moment, which means something rather earth-shattering was said since she doesn't usually cry this way. I was like, "OMG WHUT?!?!"
😀 Lol thank you for commiserating with me about the miseries of being a non-Japanese speaker reading raws. (Or is it "viewing" raws? Since I can't actually read them... Lol.) I wish I could just convince myself to stop reading raws given how desperate it sometimes makes me, but I'm such a hardcore fan I can't make myself stop... ;_; I need manga rehab!

Well, it's hard to make an honest attempt without knowing what happened before that, I'm afraid (since that's what they're talking about). But looking at the whole page, it seems more probable that what's being said in your small image means something more like "It's true... that I told him."
Context is everything, in that language.

Pnyxtr, you're totally right about the importance of context... which is why I have all the more respect for those non-Japanese who work as translators in scanlation teams and those that try to learn Japanese (as I am soon going to - have enrolled for a course). This isn't the easiest language to find one's way around, therefore I thank you doubly for putting in the effort to decipher the speech bubble for me! I think it makes sense in the context because Okita (the character speaking) has apparently said something to another guy about Sei (the girl disguised as a boy in the top-left panel of the page) that ends up hurting Sei's feelings... And I can guess that it probably has to do with Sei's gender, given that it's the running theme of the manga.
So, thanks! <3
Solved then?
Next time, ask these kinds of questions(has a definite answer) here.
