Hi again!
As the title goes, I'm searching for manga the setting of which is in the ancient world.
I know these: Historie, Heureka, Agrippa, Thermae Romae, Ad astra. Historie and Ad Astra are very good imho.
There is also a Roman Empire tag
What I like in Trivial Pursuit style. Pick your category:
Everything reid1 said of course and Kento Ankokuden Cestvs (i wrote a 9/10 review) which is the best one after Historie in that filed but good luck getting a new scanlation going.
Give Gladiator/s, Historical Persons / Historical References and Mediterranean a go too.
Look up The Eagles of Rome as the Bande dessinée market is flooded with such tales (of course) but that comic is the best such tale. HBO´s Rome is a must too.
I also read EU/US comics and am a librarian.

HBO's Rome is the tits. Personally, when I want fiction about antiquity, I go for the western published stuff. It tends to be better researched, the political intrigue is better fleshed out and conveyed, and it doesn't dwell on explanations that Japanese people are less familiar with than westerners. It's not a good sign when you see mistakes in stories about the Olympian gods. Lindsey Davis and Colleen McCullough are both good.

Thermae - a gag anime
NG life - it's a mix of the past and present
cesare and cantarella, they're both set in italy.. though during the rennaissance, if that's still okay

Hey mate, so I've been reading Ad Astra. And I've caught up to it. But the thing is, there's nothing more than Chapter 51? What happened and will it get going again?

Still early into the story, but it's an intriguing read if you want something based in 14th Century BC Turkey. However, as far as accuracy, I'd say ask Otakuch for his take on it.
