I doubt Sasuke will die. As has been pointed out every Akatsuki member defeated so far has died when he lost his cloud cloak, and Itachi lost his to Kirin. I have a feeling Sasuke will pull it out by the skin of his teeth, unfortunately.

Here I was hoping something cool was going to happen, but Masashi manages another filler chapter with Orochimaru getting an instant kill from Itachi, again.
Now Orochimaru's sealed up, great, he would've been a nice counter to the naruto-kyubi for sasuke but they wiped that option cleaned out with some legendary sword out of nowhere. >:-(
Bah, just get this arc over with already...it's getting way too long and boring when things just keep popping up from nowhere...

I think Kabuto just used some of the body Orichimaru left to modify his own body and attain the same type of immortality.

I don't think he got any of Orichmaru's soul like Sasuke obviously did.

I'm so with you, fallofkakashi, I mean, logically, he shouldn't have any chakra left, and Itachi's technique is actually pretty cool.

BUT, since we know that Sasuke could never die, I at least hope his eyes get couged out. Maybe he'll be left to bleed to death, but by miracle found by his teammates and saved by some equally weird and unexpected healing jutsu. And then he'll start seeing with his inner eye, which nobody predicted AND acquire even more powerful jutsus so that noone could ever remember them all.
That would be more probable since the way things have been going til now 🙄

It would've been a good chapter, if it wasn't for the sudden appearance of Orochimaru and that legendary sword. ._. I mean, wtf? That really came out of nowhere. D:

Well, at least Sasuke can't use Orochimaru's techniques anymore, like super healing, etc. And we've also established to the ones who doubted that the real Orochimaru was in Sasuke, and that Kabuto has just been infected by Orochimaru's genes.

Since Orochimaru probably experimented on himself too, it's no wonder he has destructive genes who like to take over, and that's why Kabuto has gone from the scene for a while. So that he has time to suppress those genes, and learn to control them.

The Orochimaru thing could have worked for this, it would have been pretty hilarious if somehow Orochimaru and Itachi killed each other and Sasuke would be left there robbed of his revenge.

But really Itachi's jutsu is just too powerful to make anything that happens after this to allow Sasuke to live to seem believable. But I mean seriously, Orochimaru should have at least been able to buy Sasuke time to recover before he got killed...at least then Sasuke's inevitable victory wont seem like it came from completely out of the blue.

One chapter from washing my hands of the series. And I also feel the sheets of my deathbed draw nearer after some 10 chapters of this fight.
