i suspect madara is lying... not that the entirety of his story is false but rather its manipulated to yield his desired results. what did really happen 16 years ago? a natural disaster? i think not.

Didn't some one already say madara was the cause of the nine tail fox attack 16 years ago. He was the one controlling it with his powers and that is why the nine tail fox hates him. I know he took control of it before well that is if i remember correctly.

i believe him i think the kyubi summoned it self there for revenge for the first hokage beating both madara and kyubi..thats my guess

he has no reason to, Sasuke's eyes would kill him if he got close with his sharingan, so its not to gain his trust or something like that.

Wow, just because of one chapter, Madara and Itachi are suddenly the 'victims'. o.o I like the way the story is going.

And I believe Madara is telling the truth, at least according to what he sees as the "truth".

i hate the story...i'm extreamly disapointed...
itachi should be the ultimate evil...now it's kinda like he's...fruity...
you can allready tell what is going to happen...

sauske is going to take itachi's place....

and naruto is going to opose him in protecting the imperfect kanoha

even if naruto know's the evil of the leaf village it's not like he's going to stand against the village he hopes to become hakage of one day...brrrr...this is perdictable...

i woulda liked it better if madara or itachi took sauske's eye's...
either that or Madara used his eyes to manipulate sauske...

a man doesn't achieve immortality and not know how to lie. a supreme genjutsu user is the ultimate liar. a man with insane goals makes everything just to accomplish them. i could go on with the reasons as to why he's a liar. his motives aren't clear but he needs sasuke otherwise why save him and it appears he needs sasukes trust and not just his body or why not take it already. that being said he'll lie to get it.

well some of what midara siad was proablt true but not all of it. the reasons for my suspicion is why all of a sudden he wants to tell sasuke the truth? why didn't he say it before. these are some of the reasons why i think all of what he's saying is not entirely true.

I dunno that Naruto is going to oppose Sasuke. I rather think that Naruto and Sasuke would go back to protect the Leaf Village. Both love the village and consider it their home. To me, it seems more likely that Sasuke will become head of the police force and will end the rivalry between the clans, a new beginning?

It'd definitely appeal to fans if Itachi took Sasuke's eyes, but it just wouldn't fit with the story. It's a comedy. Main characters will not die or suffer like that. They can struggle, but will not ultimately fail.

As for Madara lying? I don't know. I'm just going to wait and see.

I still think madara is lying because if he was telling the truth why would itachi want to keep sasuke safe. That means madara is keeping the whole truth a secret so he can get sasuke's help with something or to brainwash sasuke. What is itachi just figured this out after the fact that madara was the bad guy and he couldn't do anything about so he put it on sasuke's shoulders.

I think Madara is partly lying. For example, like saying his brother sacrificed his eyes for him, its very obvious that he didn't. Second, he wasn't laying about Leaf village origins, and the first conflicts. There he lies about his motives in rebeling againt Leaf like being for the good of Uchiha, most likely he was just upset (like Orochimaru was) that he was passed up for Hokage role.
Also, its very obvious that he lies regarding 9-Tails appearance. It wasn't a natural incidence - a freak chance, he, personally, controlled Nine-Tails in attacking leaf. Also, probably Uchiha's weren't suspected in the attack but they were suspected in harboring him as a fugitive or most likely somebody in their midst being a traitor to the leaf. And most Madara did everything to place suspicions on Uchiha clans in either revenge - for rejecting him or to force Uchiha accept him again as their leader.
Its very obvious that Madara needs Sasuke for some reason (he needed an Uchiha and Itachi was good for awhile but his eyes were failing). And thats why he lies to him. The best, most believable lie is when its mostly true sotry with couple of strategically placed lies like motivations for actions.
And yes, it was quite obvious that Itachi never was an evil guy, throughout whole of Naruto, however villified he was, I got a feeling that he was a good guy. Always sad, his attacks never hurt anyone permanently. Its like he was pretending to be a bad guy to make Sasuke hate him and thus be stronger.
Frankly speaking the last chapters with Itachi when he was revealing that he only needed Sasuke's eyes was a shock to me. Its was very uncharacteristic of the guy, too obvsiously evil.
I think in reality, Madara had a lot to do with killing off entire Uchiha clan, maybe because they repudated him or something, but he will blame leaf for that. And I suspect that Madara told Itachi to either steal Sasuke's eyes so that he can be useful, or bring Sasuke to him so that he could replace blind Itachi. So the final confrontation between brothers was forced by Madara probably.
I think, unfortunately, Sasuke will totally fall for his lies, and join the badl side (Again!) with against Naruto-tachi and Leaf.
I think at very end, when Naruto looses to him and is captured and about to be sacrificed by Madara then Sasuke will (finally) realize what an idiot he is and help Naruto and both of them will fight Madara, who apparently is revealed to be the evil mastermind of whole Naruto story (starting with attack on leaf by 9-tails) and when he is defeated, Naruto will finally end. I don't think Sasuke will end well though - if he survives (doubt it) he will go on stand-alone missions all the time or he will find his own village (maybe take over Orochimaru's sound village)

haha what a chapter Sasuke might really join forces with Akatsuki but there is still the problem with Itashi who tried to stop Madara and Sasuke to meet.I think there must be a deeper reason for that.Itashi hated Madara and tried/wanted to kill him.

Well if he will join forces with Akatsuki, then will he the partner to Kisame Hoshigaki? That will be one heck of a team.Btw i like Akatsuki becuse they are the bad guys
