It' a world populatd by people.
There's no point saying "the world today". Stupid, selfish and horrible things might happen now but this is the path people have always walked.
From the time the first creature crawled from the ocean life has always been savage in nature and survival has been a struggle. The same thing which forces us to be strong as a species may be the thing which causes us to be selfish and brutal.
This is simply a part of the world we live in, I don't believe it will ever change or that we are fundamentally different creatures to our ancestors 10,000 years ago.

The number one problem is that people believe in what the media wants them to think, IE Fashion, Politics, Global Warming. People need to be more well informed and don't follow the mass hype that is the media.
Oh and there are too many Lawyers.

Incorrect, people as a collective mass is the sole problem of everything wrong with the world. From the day man ventured out of their caves with their families and started building villages and communities to form a stronger means of survival within the harshness of nature, our individual mindsets changed towards the survival of the community and not so much toward protecting our individual lives.
We have grown now to depend upon our communities more so than our own individual capabilities. We can't all be scholars or mathematicians, but yet we depend upon this higher form of knowledge to bring ourselves comfort for our own individual lives, and thus we forget or even so much as don't care about our own self motivated means of survival.
So unless you condone mass genocide, then simply discarding all the "bad eggs" will only leave you with a lot of empty households and millions of grief stricken families.
If society wants someone to blame for our own upbringing into this existence, then blame our 10,000 BC ancestors for not all going extinct during the ice age and passing on the valuable lesson that mother nature is not our god and can bring about endless ruin upon us at any given moment.

As other people had already mentioned—people. We are sinful by nature. Not technically evil(that's too drastic), just sinful. We each have things we want and will try to obtain them in our own ways.
Yet, the world isn't supposed to be perfect. If I had godly power, I would never go as far as to stop wars and clean the world of our sin. There should be bad to maintain a balance. I can't even picture a world that is all good and perfect; it's kind of.....disgusting.
