I don't think I've ever had this feeling when reading a Sienen before, usually I like character deaths because I feel it adds a level of tension that normal "Shonen" mangas lack. As for the characters in Zetman, other than Aunty and Jin, I just don't really care about them. In the case of Konoha I was actually hoping she would get bumped off. All this said, pretty far along in the story the author decided to add a new love interest that has in my opinion totally earned the right to be called the "Main female love interest" so much so I feel inclined to ask for spoilers. Has Tanaka died in the recent scans? (I'm at chapter 134 and would much rather be spoiled so I can mentally prepare myself) I'm so looking for the happy ending. 🙂

Read up to ch171 and none of the main characters die in this manga. Not a single one remains dead even after dying (looking at you, gramps). I'm kinda annoyed by this fact personally... Loses a bit of the seinen feel since a lot of character growth occurs after the death of a close one.

Gramps....How can he not be dead. I agree with you that there should be some character death as long as it's not Tanaka. 🙂 However that is kinda disappointing.

A bit late but in the most recent scans she does die (around Chapter 212), poor Jin has to kill her by ripping out her heart because she turned into a player and was going to kill auntie.
I don't like Konoha and now that Tanaka is out of the way the likelyhood of them getting together is really high unfortunately.

Also Kouga is a real bastard and went completely insane
