I love the smell of garlic, but most people seem repulsed by it...

Agreed here,
I use to eat garlic a lot with my noodles and that would normally give me a horrific stench for the majority of the day :S
Do not feed the trolls

I love garlic 😛 I've never paid attention to its smell, though.
As for the smell of it on another person - only my grandfather tends to have it, but I don't have any memories of being repulsed by it
Neutral.
People's breath tend to smell
worse if they haven't eaten garlic.

garlic is good, and I like the smell that stays on my fingers for decades after I've chopped it. that stuff is like napalm.

I love garlic (and onion, for that matter),
but it gives a horrid breath you can do nothing about...
Sometimes I think "screw you, world" and eat/make the dish anyways.
And it does give your hands a very nice scent...
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.
Food yes.
People no.
I don't mind garlic in my food, but we tend not to have much due to the fact that it smells really strong. It's ok if I'm not going out anywhere. If I am and the garlic cannot be avoided, chewing gum and breath mints do the job just fine xD

Garlic goes into a lot of what I cook, I LOVE it. It's not appealing on people though.
I remember in high school a friend and I spent the whole night up and we made pasta with garlic tomato sauce (WAY too much garlic). We had to go and meet up with a girl from his class at the library early that morning for some report or other he was working on with her. She seemed to look at us quite strangely, but we thought nothing of it at the time.
Once we were done, we went out and got in the car, and it hit us. Till that point, we didn't smell anything (due to our noses filtering it) but once we got back in the car, we were overpowered by the smell of garlic. The poor girl.
I still use garlic quite a bit, but since then I've avoided using TOO much. I don't want the poor people around me to be overwhelmed.

Good on food, in taste and smell. Not good on people's breath.
My mom once let me taste a bit of raw garlic, which she did warn me about...
It was rancid and I spat it out only a couple seconds after I put it in my mouth.
