I thought that i ask all of you, did you encounter mangas and animes that had scenes in it that knocked out the fuse in your mind. Something that was so difficult to digest, so brutal, mindbreaking, shocking, scenes that made you depressive or lethargic. And whats your opinion about these scenes, are they dangerous for the readers, watchers? Can a story touch you to the extent to feel hatred, pain, disturbance, rage? And can it spoil the story, or your fun?
Here are some examples.
Wolf Guy - Ookami no Monshou (manga)

The rape arc is naturally shocking, and for a minute stopped my heart, because i felt attached to Aoshika, but she is the perfect victim.

School days (anime)
I only read a summary on each episode on wikipedia, and saw the 5 minute end conclusion of the last episode, that was enough for me, i try to avoid this series.
Divergence Eve (anime)

When one of the main character was eaten alive

Or the whole Neon Genesis Evangelion series 🙂

70 % of hentai related mangas and animes that i saw, Horikawa Gorou, Sanbun Kyouden works (Yama hime no sane anime).
Something like this.

I have encountered scenes that disturbed me a bit but I usually get over them quite easily with a "it's just fiction anyway" I don't get depressive, lethargic over manga, anime, not for long anyway 🤢

I am the over sensitive type, transfered emotions can paralyse me. Something like Madonna's Frozen made me paralysed for 6 hours. And that was only a stupid song. 🙂

I think you should seek help if there is any truth to what you just said about Frozen

@TaoPaiPai
Why should i? It was only 1 example. And thy psyhodoc said "I can't help you solve your problems, you must do it." And that was a professional. But it was 10-12 years ago.
But that's not why i started this topic.

... Well, I got really freaked out by a scene in Bitter Virgin, but that is all.

Ginen Shounen when the girl that the protagonist liked said she was going out with someone else... but the set up was amazing... I was depressed for 3 weeks (yay for over-emotionalism) but, heck that was a huge blow to my mind o.o

Lol, School Days had such a wtf ending. 🤣

I haven't really had any of those experiences you've mentioned though... (yet).

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.
