What do you think is the most underrated character in Bleach? I don't have an definite answer yet, but for now my choices would be Soi Fon or Hachi from the Vizards (or Visoreds. Why "Visoreds", Viz Media?)

Ask me about overrated..but as for underrated- I suppose Sakisabe or whatever his name is- since he is the Lt. for Yamamoto- I rarely see a chapter on him ..though havent kept track of Bleach for a WHILE.. 😛

Ok, I have my answer: Ikkaku.

Why? Because he 's the only person in Soul Society (That we know of) that isn't a captain or lieutenant that achieved Bankai. And the fact that he's only been in 3 fights so far (The last one was a piss-poor shame, though)

I'd have to say Rukia. She's not even a seated rank but she took out an espada, also despite being such a major character she's conventiently unable to fight for the first few hundred chapters

I would agree with you, but Rukia is considered part of the main cast of Bleach. Not to mention that there have been whole episodes dedicated to her, along with her kicking ass early in the story even though she didn't have her full powers. And the fact that she was the only reason why the Soul Society arc even existed...

rukia is doesn't have a seat rank because of her brother who didn't want her doing the dangerous mission a seated officer would be assigned. he's a far more attached her than he's shows openly

normally i would agree with you. but looking back at it i think you've got it wrong on Ikkaku, he's had more screen time then most of the Shinigami in S.S aside from Renji and Rukia. he's obviously a character favorite for his times showing up is more than the rest. so i can't say he's underrated. his partner Yamichika is more underrated than him, imo. he only had a full showing of his strength just recently.
also i agree that Isshin is rather ignored too as well as Ishida's dad too. those two seem like power houses that are being unfortunately ignored.

yeah he seriously is, he has no luck though. all the major people he's ended up fighting were beyond his level.

Uroharas friend and shopkeep helper, hes like kido king right? I bet his fights would be interesting.

In the main cast i would say im still waiting for orihime to like... do something, im prety shure shell gain another tech using all the Shunshun, because shes godlike in power but her personality and lack of resolve using her only ULTRAPOWERFULL-intheory atack makes throwing a wep napking at a tank seem feasable.

And also What ever happened to her karate kid best pal, i always imagined shed develop something too...
