Well, um, 'Last Exile' (the anime) is definitely steampunk, and has definite BL undertones. It's not officially (or solely) BL, but there's nobody that can really watch it without noticing The Gay.

Not sure if this would be considered steampunk, but definitely has sci-fi vibes:
(however I have to warn you it's pretty hardcore, and personally not to my taste... 😛 )
Have you also tried searching using with the 'Sci-Fi' tag too?
