One of the most romantic gifts that I encountered in manga is a music box. I think the title is Kimi Dakeni Kagayaku
The male lead gave a music box with a song that he especially composed for the female lead. He was a budding singer and I think it's sweet. He sang a song to her in his concert and refused to record the song because he composed it just for her and titled "Only For You" or something like that... it 's super sweet in my opinion

Please don't put it here just because it's extravagant... something like flying her to Bahamas or Hawaii just because he has the money. Or buying her the biggest diamonds on the market... hey, since we're no longer in february I wansn't gonna reply however ur discussing an interesting topic so I wanted to share my opinion.
like u already mentioned, i think that such gifts as roses, jewelry and going on a trip are not considered romantic coz this is what most ppl would suggest, also everyone can give u these things. a romantic gift is sth that makes the person who receives it feel special so it has to be unique, dont u agree?
in the manga u read the male lead was a singer thats why he sung her a song, maybe if he was a writer or a novelist he would write a novel about their love story, I think this is also sweet. I also think that letters and poems are unique especially when sent in a special manner like mailing them.
