I am not a active person so i might reply or even read this topic but i still post what i thought of.

I have 2 question and i answer it in my own way people post yours like what you think.

Q1. What do you think a husband is?

Q2. What do you think a wife is?

I think IF husband equal to working hard earn money care whole family for their future then it doesn't have to be a MAN to called Husband after marriage

Wife is someone who do housework and chores like maids and give birth baby and care their present in the family then there are some man is at home doing those thing some may call it Penguin Father and so on but still call him husband so , Why Does people think that after marriage Man = Husband and Woman = Wife

There are alot of manga that Main character a Male Doing Wife Job and being call husband why no one call it wife if the first thing came up your mind is Wife = House Husband = Work

Quote from hszd

Why Does people think that after marriage Man = Husband and Woman = Wife

Because that is the meaning of those words 🙄
husabnd = "a married man" - Oxford Dictionary
wife = "a married woman" - Oxford Dictionary
A married hermaphrodite is both or can choose either
If you want words that describe only the duties husbands or wifes USUALLY have you will have to look for other words. The words husband and wife are clearly connected to gender

No...Wife = Woman and Husband = Man. As the poster above said, it's connected to gender not who's "bringing home the bacon".

And this could've been asked in Random Questions thread not to mention the answer's pretty clear cut so locking this.
