Aphina has sprouted a new branch. Yes, scanlations. (I wanted to do subbs but that is nearly impossible for me) But to our already 5 man staff....we need more, a lot more....
The position which is of topmost priority to be filled is a RAW provider of manga. Basicaly, you need to fill this criteria:
RAW Provider/ Scanner
- Has access to a manga store/ magazine/ friend XD who owns RAWs
- Will be willing to search through the net and find if the series is licenced or not
- Will be willing to spend money in order to buy manga ( at first with nothing to gain..Later we might get donations.)
- Has a scanner and will be willing to spend time on making quaility scans.
Next we need editors...I can't be the only one to do it since I'm one of the translators as well...
Editor/Typesetter
Must:
- Own Photoshop and know what to do in it
- Willing to be pressured with deadlines
- Look out for other groups that offer their versions for further translating or continuation (if they dropped it)
- Pass a test of editing one manga page of our choice.
And lastly, but still very importantly
Translator:
- Hopefully is Japanese- Eng or Japanese- Ger or Eng-Ger . If our RAW provider has manga in Chinese then Chi-Eng translators will also be needed.
A speacial position I'm willing to consider someone for is to be the distributor
Distubutor:
-Can work with IRC
-Will zip files
-Will upload for direct downloading
-Promote the site (signing up for different listings and such)
And maybe a proofreader as well...
Anyway, our current projects are:
- Kitchen Princess ( Eng-Ger; Eng-Fr; Eng-Rus;Eng-Greek)
- Tenshi no Hame to Akuma no Shippo (Japanese-Eng and as above)
- Black Blood Brothers(light novels) (Japanese-Eng)
May take up:
- Break Blade
So please if you have any willingness to help we will be happy to accept you.

Just so you know, I suggest not using the word Jap as an abbreviation for Japanese. It was used as a racial slur back in WWII and it's highly offensive I suggest using JPN for the abbreviation.

Thank you but I meant no offence to anyone...I'm sure people realise that. We just learned WWII in Ukrainian so all the abbreviations we used were in it.
Sorry once again!

We are in no longer need of QC but the rest still stand. Anyone?
