I originally asked StarlightDreams for this and she was kind enough to tell me to make a new topic about it.

So the thing is, I've been looking around forums on other sites where they have this dedicated section for people who have their original story and are looking for artists to collaborate with them and vice-versa. A "creative room". I've wanted to make a manga for a long time now (even though I'm no good at it). There was a story plot that really caught my attention on Manga Helpers but I had to register first in order to be able to contact the person. After ten minutes of getting error messages saying the username was already in use (even though I tried 6 different ones) I gave up. I also tried stopTazmo, since I have an account there, but now I realised we have an anti-tazmo campaign...
There are a lot of other sites with this kind of section but they don't seem to be very active.

Anyways, to sum up, I am certain there should be a lot of users here that would like a special place where they can post their stories, as well as their art.

I believe this would be very constructive for the community.
If there are indeed other people with this suggestion, please support it by commenting and leaving your thoughts on it. That way we might make it come true.

We don't have anything against Stop Tazmo. They are against Tazmo, so their interests naturally lie within our realm.

I believe there are lots of other sites out there that do this already, but if you have any ideas on how we could do it better, feel free to comment.

And yeah, I checked OneManga's forum too. Thing is, I would like to see BakaUpdates have one too. As I said previously, it would help the community. OUR community. That way we don't have to go to other sites (not that it would be a bad thing but seriously, why go to one store to buy bread and another one for the milk?).
At least this is my honest opinion.

I like the suggestion. I was looking for a forum for manga creators just the other day. I want to go into illustration and make my own stories, so I was hoping to find a forum with others who have similar interests. I visit the OneManga self-made manga forum section often, but it doesn't quite have what I want...they're more independent-focused, with one thread equaling one original manga, while I'm looking for a more discussion-based forum.

StopTazmo...I'll have to check that out...

The idea sounds pretty interesting. This may increase the activeness of the forums.

stoptazmo is for downloading manga but there is also a huuuge forum. Apparently there are almost 415,000 members (bakaupdates has roughly 195,000).

I checked out the creative section on StopTazmo, and it seems nice, but relatively inactive. =/ Are there any active forums for manga-creating other than OneManga's? If not, a MU creative section sounds even more appealing...
