The adult version? They didn't air that in my country. The show went too far for TV, especially for Nickelodeon, but I want to buy the dvd (but I'm broke).
edit:
Oooooh, Tom and Jerry! Another old time favorite ^__^ I used to rent the VHS and watch it for hours over and over again during summer vacations.

Since I'm a Mommy who stays at home, I watch all the kiddie shows!
Some of the favorites I watch with my girl who's now 20 months are Barney, The Wiggles, Sesame Street, Curious George, Peep, and Todd World. Hip-Hop Harry is pretty cool, but who the hell wants to get up at 6:30? Luckily not my daughter. ^_^
Oh - but my favorites are the Magic School Bus and Wishbone (which she doesn't like yet 'cause they're for older kids). I also used to love Mr. Wizard when I was a kid, Electric Company, You Can't do that on Television, Reading Rainbow, and Bill Nye the Science Guy has to be the all time best...which totally shows my age since probably none of you guys have heard of any of these series. lol
Edit - forgot Little Einsteins which is an awesome show for preschoolers
Editted again: Check out these awesome kids dancing on Hip Hop Harry

But what gives me a certain disturbance is that old cartoons such as that and lonney toons, way back then, contains certain issues like racial discrimination, suicide, sexual seduction, violence, drug use, and other things.
We watched an old Looney Toon from WW2 in History Class.

It contains political things, advertisement for cigar, sexual seduction, betraying, and racial discrimination. Did you see the duck? That's the emperor or maybe that's the General of Japan during WW2. Anyway, he said He's not Japanese, he's Chinese. It's very very curious....but, it's still funny. 🤣 Most people don't know about Looney Toon's past.

Yeah but cartoons are made by adults.
that's the problem, made by adults and watched by kids. That's bad. But that's why we have Simpson and Family Guy, who sarcastically and ingeniously explores racial and political issues with a tad of sarcasm.

I'm assuming the first person to create cartoons (animation) made it as a form of art and like all forms of entertainment isn't limited to kids. It just happens to appeal to children and so they start making it for them. The original idea is still there so the lines blur. Think about it...before TV kids learned stuff from real life, where censorship doesn't exist. I'm sure the creators of the cartoons remember that.

That's not really the point....Looney was just plain racist back then. We should not censor the truth, but those cartoons back then were making untrue remarks about Japan. It's a fact, Looney was racist back then.
