Maybe I missed something.....but what "barrier technique" were they talking about? I

re-read 380 and the last I saw of Jiraya was all 6 pains jumping at him. Then alla sudden there is only one left due to Barrier tech?

the barrier thing he's talking about is the frog that he hid in (there's a panel that shows the frog spitting him out)

i thought he was a pretty good chapter aside from the intensely high cliffhanger! im really hoping that hes not dead cuz after reading this fight he's one of the most badass characters and one of my favs

i believe all the guys u know pain are actually characters made by the nagato fellow, that he got from jiraiyas stories he told him that might be its power as they said it was a great power that could do great things it might be that also nagato not sure just yet wats hes deal

I dont think he's dead. cuz he was supposed to go in there and retrieve information, not start a fight. So I believe that in the instant he realized who Pain was, he used the hiraishin no jutsu to teleport out of there, right before they all jumped on him. Yup yup, he aint no idiot to just infiltrate enemy territory for info and then get his butt killed, nope, he had some of the 4th's special kunais and set one up before he set off to the hidden rain. Now hes probably at Konoha's front gate or sumthin. 🙂

I don't think he meant that.. >.< With barrier, he meant this barrier, I think.. And then after that, he hid in a frog, so that he could sneak up on the big guy..

I agree, this was an awesome chapter.. 😀 And I'm wondering that IF Jiraiya will still live, how is he going to escape..? o.O

I mean, the indication that 'Ma' has left to tell all the information about Pain is clear about that Jiraiya will die.. And also that 'Pa' stayed behind.. Maybe Jiraiya will say his name at the end, and 'Pa' will then retreat to tell that bit of information to the others..
