A question about Kino no Tabi? Might interest more than one

Must imply this: There is 11 volumes of Kino no Tabi as of the momment I write this and ongoing.
Okay, so here is the deal. I read the cover back cover Kino no Tabi and it metioned that there was going to be 8 volumes; "This eight-volume treasure oscillates between...." . At first I thought was that the series was complete as a whole (in Japan) but was I wrong. As I mentioned above, there are 11 volumes out but Tokyopop just stated 8 of them, so does that mean that Tokyopop is just going to release 8 volumes or the complete series?
