The March issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Asuka fantasy magazine has announced on Saturday that a new Evangelion manga will launch in the next issue on February 24. Takumi Yoshimura is drawing Shin Seiki Evangelion: Ikari Shinji Tantei Nikki (Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji Ikari's Detective Journal) in collaboration with Evangelion's anime studios Gainax and Khara. The comedy re-imagines Shinji Ikari, the main character of the Evangelion story, as a detective. Yoshimura previously drew the manga adaptation of Shū Miyazaki's Kami-sama Game light novels in Asuka.

Another one? Somehow, it seems that they're just milking the franchise... o.o;;

Code Geass is already following the same path. 🤣

Neon Genesis Evangelion(Which is what I think you mean) is on hiatus so the author can work on Evangelion: 3.0 Quickening. The date on the movie, as far as I know, is TBA.
