I mean, he hasn't learned bankai, he can't use kido or flash steps, he hasn't even learned the name of his friggin zanpakuto, and yet he's still one of the strongest captains in Bleach. Imagine what he would be able to do if he had full mastery of all the spiritual pressure. I think he'd probably be able to beat Captain Yamamoto. What are your thoughts on the limits of Zaraki's power?

I agree. Zaraki is cool already and remains untainted by Kubo's "pulling ideas out of his ass" phase. If he had a bankai, it would destroy the whole world, easily. 😀 He's fine the way he is.

I thought this was already discussed in comic. There was a whole chapter about the meaning of his name and everything. So yes, if he wasn't dead inside, and actually learned some actual tactics he'd be an unstoppable monster.

Nah, he isn't an important enough character. Obviously in the end Ichigo is going to end up being the strongest. And the line-up following Ichigo is going to be more central characters and their respective opponents rather than secondary characters (read: too many captains and vice-captains and arrancar and fraccion to keep track of). Stats and nuttiness aside Zaraki is still a secondary character. If any one of the captains is going to come out on top in the end its probably going to he Hitsugaya, based if nothing else on the fact that he shows up more than any of the others. If Zaraki was meant to be the strongest in the end, he'd have a more central role (or else the series would about be about him, which it is not).

It's because he doesn't dodge like a pussy and instead ends up getting half-killed in every battle he paticipates in. Also, he has zero flashy moves, so there's nothing for Kubo to waste two whole pages on with Kenpachi. Unless he decides its okay for all the bad guys to end up as chunks of gore, instead of being able break to break out of their escapable ice prisons and causing more havok. They wouldn't get a chance to catch their breaths if he was a central character. Kenpachi produces results. He's not trying to be cool or see who has a flashier transformation. He guts you. That's it.

I would have to agree whole heartily that he has the potential for being the most powerful in Bleach, because i mean come on his freakin' zanpakto by it self can slowly damage any other weapon in comes into contact with. Not to mention that if he actually went 2-handed instead of sticking with his favored single hand fighting style then no one would be able to live long enough to get a first blow in. Though I have to say if Zaraki is ever allowed to get his bankai then anyone facing him would probably just crap their pants from the power of it, so since he liked to find worthy challenges he would probably end up not using it at all. But if that lucky day does ever come (even if its for that one day) then i just hope he goes all out with it just to see what its like. 😀

yeah yeah fine the whole shounen battle manga thing ruins the chances for anyone other than the main character to be the strongest, but i doubt anyone could beat kempachi in sword fighting alone. and hitsygaya is only in the story a lot more because tito needed man candy to attract girls to read his manga.

i dont think his bankai would or better be an attack type but more like a buff type that heals the wound he received immedietly and possibly make him stronger and faster.

i still think yachiru is his zanpaktos release form, like when renji is bullshiting with zabimaru, or ichigo with zangetsu, except she is always on because zaraki is unaware that he is doing it.
