If you have ever read gakuen alice I really love mikan and natsume’s relationship. I rrally love natsumes character (struggling trying to protect people, acts mean but is the nicest and how he tries not to fall in love). Also I like how he is kind of the type that is head over heels for his partner. So I was looking for a romance manga with a similar male lead to natsume or has a similar relationship to mikan and natsumes relationship.

so a romance manga with a male lead sort of like this:
-acts mean but is actually a really good guy
-tries to protect everyone especially female lead
-struggles a lot with inner problems
-will do anything for female leads (and others) happiness/cares a lot
-gives leader/loner vibes (kinda like hiroto from kirarin revolution and akito from kodocha no omocha)

First thing I can think of is Kodomo no Omocha. The two leads on this one are have similar personalities to Mikan and Natsume.
