... Specifically, I am looking for manga that incorporate nautical terms and ideas into the story and dialogue. I'd like to see what kind of stories there are out there that have ships, but unfortunately I am having a hard time finding any.
All help and suggestions are appreciated.

It doesn't have nautical terms, but Basara features quite a few ships and pirates. The pirates aren't a minor point, either. They cover an arc, and their leader becomes a main-ish character. (Basara has a lot of characters...) There are a couple of naval battles throughout the story, too.

vinland saga, very well-drawn ones too, but only in some story arcs, and with it being about a nautical culture.
Presumably ships will figure a lot more in the future though.
I wish there were more manga with ships in. I feel like there must be, I just haven't heard of them.
I keep thinking of Space Battleship Yamato for some reason 😁

Though it might not be terribly realistic, One Piece actually has a lot of ship stuff, especially during the Water 7 arc, which takes place in a city of shipwrights. The main characters include a navigator and a shipwright. And, really, what other manga out there has a character who is a ship? 😮 😉

Kurogane Pukapuka Tai, it takes place on a ship, but doesn't really have anything to do it
