When you see a unique term that you're already familiar with, do you still read the corresponding TL note?

-No, why would I read about something I already know?
-No, I normally don't read TL notes at all
-Yes, just to confirm that I'm not wrong
-Yes, just to see if there's more to learn
-Yes, I'm interested in reading the translator's interpretation of the term
-Yes, out of respect for the translator's efforts

I obviously got this idea from Bokuben, a romcom series where a talented writer wants to major in science, and a STEM genius wants to major in literature.
