- yes, everything only gets worse
- in general yes, but there are some really good works lately
- no difference at all
- in general no, but some mew mangas are really stupid

Do you like to read manga in volumes or chapters?
-volumes. from cover to cover. it's more fulfilling that way

I have noticed that, although this is a controversial subject, it affects how people rate a series, particularly those who hate the genre. You can see a whole line of 1s in the scoring of great series just for including it. Despite the result being predictable, I believe this poll would help confirm people's attitudes:
How do you feel about Lolicon in titles:

Hm, it'd be interesting to see how people notice certain couples in manga/anime.
People generally see it if it's a male-female combination, but they seem to turn their eyes or are in denial of the homosexual canons.
Sensible people still don't see it until it's pointed out for them.
Though most of the canons are debatable, but CLAMP, for example, has soooo many irrefutable malexmale couples. But the people who deny it confuse me. It's not like they have to do anything on screen, or that they'll start doing anything as soon as they admit it. :C But to constantly try to make up the weak excuses like they do is ridiculous.
List of (extremely likely to be canon) unconfirmed couples/affections:
Naruto --> Sasuke (constant demand for the term "no homo")(so many people deny it)
Zabuza x Haku (while rereading: "Yeah, those two are practically like fami.... WAAAIT A MINUTE.")
Ulquiorra --> Orihime (people still deny it)
Ichigo x Rukia (I say this as an IchiHime supporter)
Soi Fon --> Yoruichi
Miki --> Oga (I swear it's not even jokingly)
Oga x Hilda (it's inevitable... I say this as an Aoi supporter. ...HildaxAoi, that is.)
Everyone and everything in Prince of Tennis (all of the homo)
Sebastian x Ciel (non-romantic in the manga, but definitely canon)(canon in anime)
Izaya --> Shizuo (novel--as of volume 10, I am sure)(the anime ships Shizaya, 'nuff said)
etc.

These are your 'extremely likely to be canon' examples? I thought you were talking about BL shows that I do not even go near. I can only imagine the other 'affections' you have listed. Man, you yaoi fangirls and your obviously extreme lack of understanding of male bonding and friendship are so . . . Shakes head
Anyways, this is not the place for this kind of debate, so I will refrain from responding any further. It reminds me of a certain locked thread which I didn't participate in.

When I was about 11, almost 7 years ago, I was told that I would grow out of liking manga/anime.

Like seriously, you have no idea.
I don't have time for it, believe me. College is insane, and I'm an insanely slow worker.
But seriously, I make time no matter what. Result? Poor grades, and failed Colour Theory (too many incomplete assignments--no late policy). Worth it? XD I don't know. The classes are expensive.
But I do know that everytime D.Gray-Man releases a chapter featuring Kanda, Allen, or especially both, nothing else matters to me (except death or blindness, or whatever preventing me from reading it, of course).
Especially in recent chapters,
the one where Kanda said Allen's name for the first time, and smiled though he NEVER smiles, and thanked him, the one where Kanda went with Johnny to find Allen, got drunk and got his first hangover because of Allen, got hit on by a drunk who mistook him for a woman, Allen's smile of relief and ??? looking at Kanda being alive, etc I HAVE MADE WORMHOLES WITH THE INHUMAN NOISES THAT CAME OUT OF MY MOUTH.
