What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

adjust year range as needed (I figure since the first release on MU goes back to 2000 that 10+ was a good upper limit)


or conversely, if you're concerned of people who take hiatuses a lot, consider rephrasing it to something like How long ago since your first scanlation?

Do you read manga in the bathroom?
I read a lot while on the toilet.
I spend a minute or two reading.
Ew. No. dead

edit: Just noticed I did a similar one a few years back. I'm guessing a lot more people do this now than then.

Assuming you've been reading manga for a while now, has the amount of manga chapters you read a day gone up, or down?
- I have a lot of series to read, so I read more chapters a day
- I'm busier now, so I read less chapters a day

People can say how much less, or more chapters they read in the thread associated with the poll.


What does a manga have to do to make you give it a 10/10 rating?
- Have the perfect mix of art, story, character development
- Character development is a big deal, so I have to like the stars of the manga!
- I'll never get tired of reading the manga, even if it's complete
- It just has to pull me into the story, even if it has its flaws
- It has to be very original, that doesn't have the usual stereotypes/tropes
- I never rated a manga 10/10.


Feel free to add answers, change up the questions.
