I can't believe yaoi won...I feel like I've been bean bagged in the face. And what's more shocking is how low Josei was. I thought it would be right there there with seinen (Which I voted for. 3rd Place 😕 )

how do you actually decide which gender is more here?
if the girls vote more often than the guys, or vice-versa, wouldn't it make the poll inaccurate?
unless everyone vote for only once through out the poll.

I mentioned it a few weeks ago (and took some heat due to the timing of it), yaoi is way too prevelent. I'm not a picky reader, I'll read anything other then yaoi and horrer (actually yaoi = horrer so it is really only 1 subject) but am constantly disappointed. Someone else mentioned it here already but more then half of the scanlation releases daily are yaoi.

I havent seen many Josei manga around but i think there are many manga marked as seinen that are more for girls than guys just because more people read seinen than josei.

ya, but most of us wouldn't pick hentai as fav demographic because hentai is mostly just oneshot type of storys, no depth just pure sexy goodness. i think if some of the smaller categories were combined with some of the bigger ones we would have had different results.

Personally I always considered both yaoi and yuri to be specialized categories of hentai with shounen ai and shoujo ai being the same content non-H. If I am right in how I see it, then overall Hentai got 37.7%

If the poll is an accurate measure to take, then MU consists mainly of Yaoi girls, non-Yaoi girls, and mature readers.

Yaoi?! Suprised shoujo, my vote, was 2nd. Thought for sure seinen, which would have been my 3rd choice, would be tops. If my local bookstore's mature manga shelf is in anyway representative, yaoi is beyond popular. They claimed it to be their top seller in that section. An epedemic. So sad. I can't figure why any female wants to read that. (O.o) Midly disturbing is the number who voted for lolicon/shotacon. I do read henati, but there is no way that I'm gonna read yaoi. No appeal there for this girl.
