Wait, now that you mention Gaara, shouldn't some of the sand come in for reinforcements for Konoha? If that were to happen, maybe introductions of more characters? I was hoping for more next gen ninja's like Konohamaru and the like.

Then again without the big chakra supply the 1-tail supplied Gaara is probably massively nerfed anyway.
At the VERY least he doesn't have the automatic sand defence anymore.

He was always such an awesome character, I still can't believe he got merked by the most useless Akatsuki ever (who didn't even use his best move to beat Gaara).
I liked Gaara better when he was evil...

what i dont' get is why sleepyfans is listed as having the comic done over a week ago but the chapter STILL hasn't shown up on their site when I click the link. What's up with that?

Yeah I miss sociopath Gaara, I miss Gaara in general. And I wish Kishi didn't kill off all the Jinchuuriki before we got to see them. At least Bee is still buzzing around.

looks like naruto's going to have to find some alternate means of going sage mode during battles hopefully he'll find a way to do it with leaving him self too vulnerable.

The chapter opens with an interrogation by Jigokudou Pain. Two anonymous Konoha shinobis get extracted what look like their souls by a giant summon creature.

Konohamaru, who has been spying on the scene gets spotted by Pain (and now in danger) but Ebisu sensei steps in to save him.

Scene switches to the Code Breakers.

Again, it switches to Naruto in training. He is having a tough time but the scene ends with a frame in which he vows never to give up as the code carried by Fukasaku is a message for him (from Jiraiya).

Ebisu is in trouble. (Pain orders him to tell him where Naruto is or else) A quick flashback of him (Ebisu) and Naruto. Then he tells Pain that he will never tell as Naruto is one of Konoha. Just as Pain delivers the final blow, Konohamaru throws shurikens at Pain. Looks like they (Konohamaru & Jigokudou Pain) will fight next week.
