Dude, I am so confused.
Um... could someone who knows what's going on please explain this to me? Because I am at a loss.

What specifically?
Gon transformed radically as you've seen in the past few chapters, such that his power probably rivals or is greater than the King Chimera's. However, obviously this kind of power has to have a backlash of some sort. What the backlash may be is not yet clear. However, Gon continues to fight at a strength beyond his capacity, and destroys the remaining essence of Pitou's nen. Killua tries to stop him because he knows that soon, Gon will have to pay an enormous price for using a power that is far, far beyond his capabilities at the moment.
Gon doesn't care, and destroys Pitou's puppet at full strength anyways.
I hate this whole damned chimera ant arc...

How can you hate it? This is easily the best arc in the whole series. The writing, the emotions, the powers.
In my opinion this arc has everything. You never know what will happen, I look forward every week now to read each chapter.
I do hope he keeps up with the story telling that he has done so far.

He condensed his life, talent and nen in one short outburst. Basically he threw away his future and raw talent to become more or less unbeatable for this short period of time. In the last chapter it says he won't be able to use nen anymore and maybe he has shortened his life span too, or even has to die.

I think so too, before the chimera ant arc HxH was nice but now it has become a dark masterpiece.
I really hope this isn't the end of HxH and Togashi wraps up the whole manga in the next chapters, at the moment this is probably the best shounen out there.

i agree.. it would be bad to wrap things up since in the first place, what was Gon's dream? isn't it to find his father?
or maybe his father will show up in this arc? though it would leave some bad taste, seeing that it was Gon's dream to go and see his father, not the other way around.

finally somebody understand, it seems alot of people hate this arc because they don't realize that good mangas always progress and characters change over time. They are not cardboard cut outs
