The original story has the MC, an omega, being sold at an auction and bought by a guy who assaults him. The story is just about abuse and then 'love'.

New MC, waking up during the auction, is completely convinced that he's dreaming and makes the crowd think he's crazy. He's bought by the same guy, but rather than assaulting him, the ML takes him to the hospital to get his head checked. He's diagnosed as having multiple personalities and just kind of chills at the guy's house.

I can't remember if MC is trying to leave or actively change things. I mostly remember him getting along with the maid, who's mute, and the ML basically treating him like an invalid.

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure why the MC read such a book if he's straight, but I'm pretty sure he was.
