You might remember me as the guy who first scanlated Souten Kouro on his own, then with the help of one editor, then another. Due to the current editor's computer problems, I decided to post a topic here, hoping to find someone else to do the job.
I already have the raws for the whole manga, all in excellent quality (as far as I see). What I would need is someone who would insert the translated text in the manga pages - in other words, an editor. This isn't always easy, as some lines (or bits of narration) are written on top of very intricate images (as can be seen from the first chapter, sloppily edited by yours truly). Most chapters are, however, straightforward. While knowledge of Japanese isn't required, it can be useful in case I accidentally miss a line.
However, to ease the load on the editor, I would be glad if I could find a proofreader as well. While I do strive to make decent translations, I do tend to have typos or illogical phrases (mainly due to changing ideas mid-phrase). This tends to stick out like a sore thumb when checking the final edited version or, worse, when it's already posted on MangaFox. It would be great if this proofreader could edit the mistakes in Photoshop (or whatever image editing software he prefers), but it's not necessary - this can be done by the editor or, worst case scenario, by myself.
I don't think it's necessary to point out that I do intend to finish this manga, all 36 volumes of it. I might have periods in which I don't translate anything, but I'm just as willing to accept that crew members have their own personal problems. I would appreciate if they announced these issues. In exchange, I will do the same in case I'm too busy in the University (or anything else).
