This is why I like this website. We can have a serious talk about sexuality and still have it become funny without derailing the seriousness.

Personally, I think that it shouldn't matter to people how many times someone has sex, even if they personally know that person.

But I think that this all goes back to people trying to hang onto the standards and morals of the 1900's-1950's.

I think it is more of the fact of the peers. In my experience, guys are called players because (most) guys will cheer him on. Since, unfortunately, a lot of guys have that mentality. While with girls, the majority do not look well on it, as in other women do not think its ok, and therefore get a negative connotation.

However, this refers to the majority, as you will always meet people of the minority, girls that think its fine, and guys that think it isn't. So, these terms come from the peers of their own gender. Since most women will think the term Player should be negative, and most men do not really care if the woman if a slut, some even thinking its a good thing.

So to sum what I am saying, our own peers in society give these terms their connotations.

I'm not pretending to speak for the males of society (especially since I'm not male), but something tells me that they wouldn't want the woman that they are married to or are dating to be a "slut". I should have said specified more to the single crowd. Since people should cease such behavior once in a marriage (although this is not always the case) the references would be past tense. Non the less still infuriating. And what I meant by a 'good' thing, is the guys that think being a Player is a good thing, would not think being a slut is a bad thing in that they could score with them easier. However, in my opinion the whole thing is kinda wrong, but I am not gonna lecture anyone about it. It is there lives, and as long as they aren't hurting anyone I have no reason to lecture anyone.

The slut that I was refering to was my neighbour..(her mom's a PIMP btw >__> ) she's basically a high school drop out and whoring herself around. I hate her cuz she seems so innocent up front.

I LIKED HER so asked my mom hire her to work in my mom's restaurant.. ( i was working part time there when I was still applying for university..and this all happened 2 yrs ago..)

i later found out that she's wearing a poker face and suddenly quits her job AFTER some of the married military guys were asking me where the hell she was after going out with them.. then i realised that i was The Victim here..
