All,
I have just applied some updates to modernize the back-end MangaUpdates code. If you find errors, strange behavior or functionality that doesn't appear to work like it did before, please report it here or in the Bugs forum.
The only new feature I added was the addition of the "year" parameter in the "What's New" section of the site. I'm sad to say this was mostly a back-end update, and no fresh new eye candy.
Thanks!

Whenever I perform a search, especially "Search by Description", non-english titles are also included in the results.

Did you delete the lists of series that groups do if you go to their group page on baka updates? I kinda miss that...

Was it intentional that when searching in the series info section, by title, that it sorts the results alphabetically? Most relevant use to be at the top and now it's all sorted alphabetically 400 pages or 30 pages depending on the search.

It tells me to log in to vote for categories when I am already logged in. I also can't add series to my lists when I am on those series's pages.

Now, I cannot sort the results by Year unlike earlier (before you fixed it). Is it possible to tweak it such that it still lists the results by Relevance, but we can Sort the results by Year or by Title? Thanks.

when you use the manga search box, when the first search screen comes up with the release results and the search a specific section of the website, the releases section is showing results from the earliest results and not the releases that are the most recent.

Items are sorted first by relevance, then by year, then by title... I just checked the old query and it looks identical. Items with the same relevance will be sorted by date (in chunks), so this is possible:
series1: relevance 1 year 2007
series2: relevance 1 year 2006
series3: relevance .9 year 2008
series4: relevance .9 year 2004
series5: relevance .8 year 2009
etc..

Hmm, I can edit them just fine ... as myself and as a test account (with normal user rights).
Can you try again?

This should be fixed ... let me know if it's not.
