Well, since Asians make up for most of the population and their standard is quite low (at least compared to that, which happen to be around then norm for my country too) that is what i read some time ago to be the norm in the world
I may be mistaken but still at best it should be 175cm for males.

Actually, that depends on what their diet. I've been to Vietnam and in my stay of 2 weeks and lots of going around there, I've found that the females are mostly petite and thin while the males are mostly a little taller than me but thin as well. However, when I went to Taiwan, there are people of all shapes and sizes there (like the country I come from). So yeah, it's mostly based on their diet.

I think so. I mean, 160 cm is a perfectly normal height for females in my country (and I'm Asian too, though not East Asian), and a 180 cm / 100 kg male is considered "very big". My father's only 5 cm taller than me (LOL) and just 68 kg, and while he's on the small side even by our country's standards, he isn't a dwarf (which is what it'd seem like if we were, say, American).

Genetic constitution varies from country to country, not region to region, so while Caucasians, African-American and Hispanic people are generally tall and Scandinavians incredibly so, Japanese, Chinese etc. aren't so much. Singaporeans are about the same average build as our people, while Indians and Pakistani are fairly big as far as South Asians go. Middle East is a part of Asia, but the people there are much more big-built.
So I'm pretty sure stature is a country-dependant factor, much like skin colour and hair texture.
