They do end up together & happy, though in a way that I hadn't anticipated.

I don't remember the details of discovering each others' true identities.

Ei!! Here's how they discovered each other...
I dont really remember the whole thing or what chapter it was but i can give u an anecdote about it...

So, shuri and sarasa met in a mountain.. Shuri was still wearing her tatara out fit then someone shouted that tatara is there, then the red king was like thinking that voice is sarasa, and sarasa is also thinkinh that that was shuri(the guy wearing the red armour), then she asked wheres the red king then a guy pointed shuri then sarasa was like shock,then the king was like "sarasa why are you there, go here" (<--- he was only thinking about it) then a guys said proclaim yourself to the red king tatara then sarasa was like whisphering about it i think sh said " i'm tatara from byakko village blah bla blah " (forgot what she said) then the king was like, "it makes sense why didnt i think bout it, sarasa wants revwnge for the person who killed her family and i saw her near the fortress where tatara attacked with the cows" and so on, shuri was like recalling their meetings and where he battled with tatara.... Then an army from the emperor arrived then shuri commit a seppuku (?) ... Then sarasa was dumbfounded about all the events

For the ending... (i literally read the ending so i'm sorry if i'm not that accurate about some details)

Shuri was like helpless guy after a battle(?) that he cant even stand and all . Then the mob was like shouting to tatara to kill him. Tatara was like crying because she doesny know what to do. Then the big guy with mustach said to shuri if he'll beg for his like they'll forgive him. Then shuri was like 'i wil never kneel before you" then tatara is still thinking. The mob was shouting " tatara kill him" so she was like "tatara? Right i'm tatara... But what about sarasa" . A guy gave shuri a sword and he said he would give him a chance to fight tatara and be set free. Then the mob was saying the stuff that the red king did .. Like buring their house, killing their dad .... Sarasa was also thinking about the death of her bro. And dad so she ran toward shuri holding th sword but she dropped it and hugged him. Shuri hugged her back.. He saw the seed necklace he gave her before. After that sarasa revealed thay she's a girl all along and the mob got mad at her because they thought that she tricked them So the guy with mustache poited and arrow to them and the mob followed. They all fired the arrows to the lovers then the story switched to the guy with lomg hair, he was like telling the story to the kids then he said that the lovers died. And it went back to the scene where the everyone was firing their arrows. But all of them missed because they cant afford to kill sarasa who saved them.

Eh, that's not the END end, though, there are some stories that come after that, showing

i know that's not the ending but that was the ending for sarasa and shuri's arc.. 🙂
