There was this article which compared BL manga against gay manga and differences/similarities in sex scenes, plot deliverance and so on.

I've been trying to look for it but I can't even recall the name of the author or even, the name of the article. If only I didn't lose the backups of my bookmarks.

I'm hesitant to link it as most people misunderstood that he was just passing along information and is quite an informed, connected, and talented blogger in his own right. He just has a different focus on gay artists. It's hard to find fans who are open to both BL and gei comi, at least when the two collide like that. I think there's room for all~

Thanks for the link and the effort but that's not the article I'm looking for either. 🙂

Recalling even more: The one was much more in-depth and talked about titles like Hi izuru tokoro no tenshi, Nemureru Mori no Binan, possibly Banana Fish and some gay titles. And there was a lot of analysis about plot development, how the sex scenes were developed, etc. There was also opinions included from a variety of people: gay activists, gay manga writers, BL writers, etc.

I'd say the article was at least 5 years old and was very lengthy. And I think it was written by some American scholar or something. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the article at all.
