Examination boards. It depends who you have because they set them so they supposedly don't clash etc.

In my GCSE's ours were over a 2 week period with around 10+ exams.
First year of A-levels and it's spanned over so long. My first 2 exams were before I even had study leave.

Why are they more than a week?

In Elementary and High School we had to take 9-12 exams in 5 days, this repeated 8 times in one school year.

Yeah just 5 days for me too (high school). And we only take 8, well seniors take less since they only have 4-5 main classes...though I only took 2 since that's how many classes I had. O_O

Elementary/middle school seems to be different here...just three state exams taken at the end of the school year, very different from where I am from. O_O

Ha! Only have one left! Will be done on Thursday! I just finished two that sucked and will probably take a third that will also suck. You'd think that the profs would test you on stuff that you've been doing all along, not random stuff they come up with.... Oh well.

We've got exams all in one week. sigh having them a bit spread out would be nice.

-What is the name of the hurricane that hit...

lol. I always got random questions too like "If you were a tree what kind would you be?"
Also make up your own question and answer it.(but it had to be relevant to the subject).

I absolutely abhor them. I just finished up with my language exams.

My official department finals slash provincials begin tomorrow morning && throughout June etc. My last ones', which are my Sciences, is on June 23rd.

But for now, Government here I come. ;_____;

I had my first set of exams in May (I'm in the IB program and they have their exams in May). My provincial exams are next week, I have English and Chemistry both on the same day, but after that I'm done 😀
For the May exams I had Math and ITGS (a computer class).
For the June exams I get my results next week I believe, for the May ones I get it on the first week of July.
