I agree, but I think Kouji is trying to portray this as the calm before the storm. Mishima seems to be the only one using common sense. There's no way this is all going to go down as smoothly as Kazama and Haruto think.

I agree that this feels like the calm before the storm. everything was really annoying now its finally starting to look good and all but it just feels too good to be true. something big is deffinitly gunna happen soon like either something will happen to Kazama or just something else i dont know but i dont have a good feeling

Alright, let's have a change of scenario.
Now the childhoodfriend is joining the action of winning the heart of the one she loves.
In their quest to win over the one they love, Haruto and Kiyomi join forces.
During their attempts to win the heart of their respective interest, they grow closer.
At some point decide they like each other better and start dating.
A year passes and Kazama dies. Yuzuki is depressed and tries to reconnect with Haruto.
Haruto says "you had your chance" and leaves her heartbroken and devastated.
haruto and kiyomi marry. He becomes a world renowned chef, earns tons of money and has a bunch of kids with kiyomi.
Yuzuki ends up with a wife beater, the end.

Is something that will never happen 🙁 🙁

Please not that I don't particularly like Kiyomi or anything, but anything is better than this shit right now.
Rationally, Haruto should just return home. Get together with his akari (that was the blonde girls name right?) or Shiho and live a happy life.

Okay, maybe I was a little harsh on her. Even considering the wife beater was the least harsh thing I thought of. I was considering forced into prostition and/or porn as an alternative, but that would have been too much. (also not fit for the demographic.)
But I don't wish her something like Honoka. She was sweet and nice. Yuzuki is just being a total twat. If she had kept refusing kazama, maybe he would have hooked up with Kiyomi and more people would have been happy.
I still don't understand how that kazama can be happy like this. Yuzuki obviously only agreed because of guilt, just look at het face in the hospital. That is not the face of a supporting loving girlfriend. That's the face of someone forcing themselves out of guilt.
On this part I must commend Kouji's art, very convincing expressions.

So true, It really does seem like Kouji is pulling stuff out of his ass nowadays

This new arc is taking too long, IMO. I hope they wrap this up soon, because the last few chapters are just taking place in the hospital.
