Finally finished Valkyrie Profile Lenneth and got a new PS3. Am celebrating by playing Final Fantasy 13.
Man, the graphics are beautiful! I can't believe I waited all this time to get one. I absolutely love it, both the console and the game.

FFXIII looks pretty nice, but I feel robbed just because it's such a pipe run. Development is capped by story progress and it's really limited, plus the characters aren't memorable. The battle system was gimmicky, not clever. I fear the next one will be even worse. If you ask me, S-E doesn't need to casualize their franchise at all. It's perfectly OK to solve all problems with grinding. Sphere Grid was a fantastic idea, yet they haven't really utilized it after X, slightly with XII, but not nearly enough. If your game is like a movie, in both visuals and gameplay, what's the point of making it a game?

Mainly Neverwinter Online and Rift in anticipation of Europa Universalis IV in 10-ish days.
I miss the Paladin (which is my second favorite class after Blackguard) in Neverwinter. 🙁

I still like FF13. Have just finished the game, and it was quite enjoyable for me. Didn't mind the linearity at all, since I was aiming just to bum rush the game.
Anyhow, just started on Final Fantasy 13-2, and it has an interesting new premise going on. I've heard that this particular game has been called better than its predecessor. I'm stoked to see why.
