I felt like posting this just because the craziness School Days is so infamous for finally began. There's only one chapter left, and I think the ending may be slightly less bloody, despite the cleaver.

I was surprised they had Makoto actually make a decision instead of continuing his unfaithfulness. I guess it opens it up for a slightly more cheerful, but less interesting ending. I'm holding out for at least a death though. Without that aspect, School Days is a just relatively mediocre romance-drama that gets a little bit extreme.

Any other thoughts?

So far it's been a watered down version- similar but worse. It's only 2 volumes (12 chapters in total), and it pretty much ignores all the supporting characters. The ending might be a little bit different as well, as I said earlier, and it's the ending that made the anime what it was.

If there is no death, the story loses it's edge. However, if there is another tragic ending, of the magnitude of the anime, I might actually pick up the manga.

hmmm...just read the last chapter (12).

The ending may actually have been more creepy, but less dramatic. I liked the anime better. There was still a Nice Boat though. .

I'll just go ahead and summarize it then:

Makoto dumps Sekai, which is followed by Kotonoha attempting to stab Sekai with a cleaver and slashing Makoto on accident. Makoto's in the hospital a week later and Sekai is visiting him. He gets a call from Kokoro (Kotonoha's little sister) saying that Kotonoha is lying in a pool of blood. Sekai starts looking crazy and Makoto realizes that it's his fault she went that far. Then there's a little thing about the cell phone legend at the end. Creepier, but Makoto doesn't die, which kind of sucks.

Basically, Sekai already had Makoto's picture on her cellphone. So in the end, they ended up together.

I've just read ch 12.. and i just what the hell with ending 😕 It's the worst ending ever.. Sekai is a totall BITCH!!!! He has no right saying that makoto suffer since he know kotonoha.. Sekai is the one who made him suffer!!!!!! Honestly i never imagined that in the ending

kotonoha will be dead Sekai is the one who should be dead!!! And yes, makoto is a total JERK.. This manga made me so irritated since ch 7 and drive me crazy in last chapter.. By the way may i know the endig in the anime?? Coz i haven't seen the anime..

in the end of the anime, sekai kills makoto cause makoto wanted her to get an abortion and she realized he was just using her for sex. Afterwards, kotonoha meets up with sekai on the school roof and ends up killing her and slicing her belly open to confirm the pregnancy (no baby was found), then the final scene shows kotonoha on the nice boat holding makotos head to her chest saying that they will always be together.
