I really think that basing this kind of thing on a linear scale accurately is one of the hardest things to do.

For now, I'll put myself at a 4 and accept that I don't know much about manga.
I partially know the history of manga, how it developed, all that stuff, and I've read a lot of titles, but I don't believe that I truly know manga to any extent besides knowledge that any consumer might know.

Probably 9. I've been reading manga for years and I feel like I've run out of manga to read which I would find interesting. I've tried most genres but there are genres I dislike and haven't explored fully, of which I doubt I ever will. There are some genres I disliked until recently, ie. Yuri

3? i've read a fair number of titles. although i used to read manga alot more and until recently i'd been very tetchy about picking up a new series to read. i looked at alot of manga in stores and nothing seemed to interest me anymore. i started again though, when a friend recommended a new manga to me. recently, i've been on a shoujo manga binge. in the past i read alot more shounen than shoujo, and i've sort of always avoided sports manga although i think i'll look into them sometime.

Not so much. I do have the list of my favorites but I don't read much.

This is actually pretty hard...I guess I'm around 5-7.
I forget a lot of stuff, though I can tell a general outline of a series.
I just started to pick up more mangas these days, since I was caught up in other hobbies recently. And I'm glad I started manga again, it's been an integral part of my life since I was in elementary school (talking about exaggeration, but yeah). So I'm not that familiar with new popular mangas. I'm trying to keep up though~
I'm pretty good at predicting plots (especially those shoujo mangas), but my knowledge is still lacking. And I've just broadened my genre choice too. I feel like I have so much to catch up with though. Too many mangas, too little time 🙁

im like a 4 ive read every kind of genre lollicon, yaoi, yuri, hentai, smut, seinen, shounen, but mostly shoujo and josei no shotacon yet 😎 but im knew only been reading manga for a year and havent read that much so im that why im so low but at the rate im going ill be a 10 in no time 🤣 also i dont like mainstream manga like one piece, naruto and i only watched the anime of bleach

Prolly a 8... I don't read that much manga, but I know what the plot of most manga, who the mangaka is/are, etc. I guess
