Maybe it's just me, but whenever I highlight a spoiler, it highlights it in light blue, which is so close to grey that I can't even read what it says! So frustrating . . .

just copy the writing to microsoft word (or something similar) and change the colors

It's the colour that you've chosen as your highlighter that's the problem.
I suggest either red or silver. I use red myself, and I can see the spoilers fine. Orange seems to be the worst colour to use for the spoilers. Really difficult to see what's being written.

Click System Preferences, and then click Appearances which is right at the top and it will say Highlight Colour with a drop down box so you can choose other colours.
