Well, I can only come up with School Days. Check it out.

Kimikiss - Various Heroines - The first story, then the second story is kinda reversed. I'm sure the other Kimikiss manga are similar but I've never read them.

Tora Dora - The girl isn't really helping him intentionally but she does inadvertantly give him his chance.

Video Girl AI - Gets annoying and a little confusing at times but it practically invented the shonen romance genre and gave birth to series like Ichigo 100% and Ai Kora.

DNA^2 - The love-child of Video Girl AI. Same premise: girl comes from strange place, tries to get guy and girl together despite her own feelings.

Also I would stay away from the School Days manga if I were you. It's pretty horrifying.

School Days and Kimikiss come to mind. In fact, a bunch of manga based of shojo ai games have that theme.

And School Days is highly recommended. Just be prepared for it. Please.

school days definitely follows that description and it starts of innocently enough but then it um....yeah, well its an interesting twist i'll give it that

School days fits your description perfectly. But I have to say, If youre looking for a happy end, it would be best to stay away from it. 😛

Also try the kimikiss anime it's already finished and it also fits you're description
