Do you need etiquette when you're alone in the shower? Besides, I grew up with my parents telling me to pee in the shower instead of the toilet since it saves water. So, I find this pretty normal.

Never. The toilet is right next to the shower. You can't be that damn lazy to not just get out and use it. Or just hold it.

But you are female. For males, like me, it's easier to pee in the shower. The plumbing is the same so it doesn't really matter.

Lots of things are easier to do than doing things properly. Are you saying it's more difficult for women to do it in the shower? It's not. And why don't you just do it properly in the toilet before you take a shower?

Actually, with you being male, it's a lot easier. All you gotta do is step out and piss. Hell, if you got really good aim and depending on the distance to the toilet you might not have to move all the way over the toilet.

I meant doing it in the shower, not going over to the toilet. Maybe I'm just too tired to actually imagine doing it, but why is sitting or squatting while doing it harder than standing?

People refrain from peeing in their pants because they'll end up with themselves and their pants soaked in urine. On the other hand, if you're careful, peeing in the shower causes it to simply go down the drain. If there's no solid reason NOT to pee in the shower, why should people bother getting out?

If I feel like peeing when I'm taking a shower I'll do it in the shower, I'll not dry myself and step out of the shower just for this purpose. I'll get my towel wet for no reason. And the toilet wastes water, while the water on the shower is already being used anyway.

All the time, actually. I prefer it to the toilet. Darn contraptions... I just like to squat. I wish the U.S. had those flushing-hole toilets. Maybe one day I'll install one in my house. =/
I don't mean I purposely go into the shower just to pee though. Just when I need to go and I happen to be showering.
