Age Mistaken?

I'm 21, I have been told I look 25ish several times.
However I have been told that I act like a 5yo kid most of my life, not sure what they mean by that or maybe I should take it as a compliment (?)

I think it kinda goes both ways. I work retail and sometimes people go "Ask the Mrs." which to me sounds old, and besides I'm not married, so there's that and sometimes I'll be called a "miss". So I don't know if it's just people using "miss" and "mrs" randomly, or if some people do look at me and think I;m older or younger or spot on.

people usually think i'm younger than i am. i remember when i was 20 i met a distant relative and she thought i was 14 years old. i cut my hair a couple years ago, and now people think i look a bit older, but still younger than my actual age of 24.

when I was in middle school people thought I was ink elementary school. high school->middle school. now that I'm fours years a graduate and in college, people think I'm in high school. I'm half way between flattered and insulted for constantly being seen as younger than I am. people thought my sister was my mom and my niece was my sister. it's not my personality because I've often been called 'mature for my age'. all I feel now is facepalm+sigh

Funny story,
I usually don't get mistaken for any age other than the one I am, but one time when I was volunteering at a festival for kids and my dad showed up to pick me up, a lady asked me if I was all done, then pointing to my dad, asked, "Is that your husband?"

Most people underestimate my age by about 10 years. As the years go on, the size of the mistaken age gap increases rather than decreases. If you line up my pictures from the last 10 years there is no discernible difference in my appearance other than some stylistic changes.

I'm 21 but people always think I'm 18 or younger. I'm turning 22 soon too. I always get carded when buying alcohol, or if there's a curfew (A few malls around us have one. If you're 16 or younger and it's after 9pm you have to be with an adult).
If you have to raise your voice to improve your argument, it merely shows how weak the ground you stand on is.

People mistake me for a grown woman while others believe me to be bit younger than I am. Depends on what I'm wearing, really. Also, Asian genes.

I'm taller than most of the people near my age so they don't get my age quite right, they think I'm between 15 and 18 years old, normally 16, I'm just 13.
It's quite awful; I was once mistaken as a thief because of it... 🙁 I was being chased by my sister that time.

People usually mistake me for being 5-6 years younger than my actual age. This might be beneficial later on in life, but for now, it just makes me sad. TT_TT

Well I’m sixteen at the moment and people always mistake me for a child. I don’t blame them since I look like a twelve year old but seriously, the least they could do is ask for my age politely.

When I was 10 or so, someone asked me my major... that's just too far off. Even my schoolmates thought I was 1 or 2 yrs older than them even tough I skipped a grade or two (I was 5yrs old-1st grade elementary).
But there is this one stewardess that was being rude, she didn't believe I was under 12 and running around searching for the 'kid' listed for the kids' meal... huh, sorry for looking old :/

Oh I get a bit offended when this is done to me in Spanish. Because I associate "senora" with someone at least twice my age (even though married women fall under that category), even "senorita" is odd. It should be "joven" but no one gets that right.
I don't get mistaken for my age is as much I used to. I think I finally grew into my skin. <3 People seem to get it right now.
