Another error in deleting users releases:

Exception deleting release: User does not have appropriate role or permission

There's no problem with editing them.

I also noticed it seems that the release hasn't been completely fixed. Because it's still a bit messy and inconsistent whether or not it appears in the series history log.

I am also having a similar yet slightly different issue. I have several genres coloured and the release page is prioritizing them in different ways than before. For example I have romance as red and shounen-ai as blue. While before, shounen-ai would take precedence when the two genres were together in a series, romance is now the genre colour that shows on the release page. This may be just the romance genre in general though as my releases are much more red leaning than before.

This is "resolved" in the short term ... You helped to identify a more endemic issue with the way we handle UTF-8. We've actually been doing it incorrectly this whole time .. So I've "fixed" it in the sense that I've broken it so that it works the way it used to for now ... I will work on a more long term fix once all the chaos of this site update dies down.

Please verify everything works as it should.

Same bug as residentgrigo. Everything in News is now locked.

My guess would be that with the new backend, a forum that doesn't allow users to post new topics also doesn't allow them to comment on existing topics (which is obviously unwanted behavior with the news post comment system, but could be wanted in other situations).
